Gifts of Love 2018

Beat the Holiday Rush!

Sign-up today for our annual “Gifts of Love”

The Board of Mission and Outreach has once again chosen to support the Dept. of Children and Families/Haverhill office for our annual Christmas “Gifts of Love” Collection. This office services children in our local communities.

Please sign up by Sunday, December 2nd to make Christmas dreams come true for these children.

The requested gifts are listed on Sign-Up Genius via the link here. Please review the requests and sign up for the items you will be providing. Some of the gift requests for the same child have been separated into two donations to offer our congregation various options. Gift tags will also be available on the Christmas tree in the Fellowship Hall for those without computer access. If you take a tag from the tree, please leave your name on the sign-up sheet near the tree so we know each child has a donor.

Gifts will be collected on “Gifts of Love Sunday”, December 16th in the Fellowship Hall. Please join the Board of Mission for refreshments after the service to celebrate this season of joyous giving.

Please contact Pam Warren or  978.979.0366 with any questions or assistance needed with sign-up genius. Thank you!

Mission and Outreach Thanksgiving Offering

Thursday, November 8th, 2018

“Speak out for those who cannot speak, for the rights of all the destitute. Defend the rights of the poor and needy.”  -Proverbs 31: 8-9

Dear members and friends,
It has been a long tradition in our church to offer our members and friends the opportunity to make a special contribution during the Thanksgiving season.

The truck from Haven from Hunger will be outside the Meeting House on Sunday, November 18th accepting food donations. Also the Executive Director, Corey Jackson, of the parent organization, Citizens Inn, will be present in our worship service.

If you are not able to participate with a food donation, we have designated Haven from Hunger to receive our Thanksgiving offering, and you can contribute using the special envelopes in the pew backs.
Haven from Hunger’s food pantry provides over 1,800 households with fresh fruits and vegetables, meat, dairy, and canned goods. Last year, they distributed enough food from their Peabody location for close to 600,000 meals.

More information about Citizens Inn and Haven from Hunger can be found at this link.

Our church has long been a supporter of Haven from Hunger. Please join the Board of Mission and Outreach in filling the pantry to overflowing for the upcoming holiday season.
