The following are responses offered by members of the Board of Community and Communications last Sunday on why we support the Congregational Church of Topsfield with our talents and treasures as we enter this Stewardship season:

“Even if I don’t have as much as I want, I have enough to share with others.  My donation may not seem like much. But when the donation is joined with others, it becomes something much bigger. … When I give, I can’t help by feel thankful for the blessings in my own life.”  – Jon Palace

“Mary and I invest our time and finances with the CCT for several important reasons:  To help our church continue to spread the word of God’s love for All people; to live out, through the mission work of our church, God’s greatest commandment – “to love your neighbor as yourself, and to be stewards of this church for generations.”  – Ed Jelinek

“We are bonded, not only by our shared humanity but also by recognition of our connectedness to each other. We have a spiritual connection, one with themes of caring, of compassion.  We join with each other in affirmation of this, to be recharged, to be inspired. I contribute to this community because we understand that, as individuals, we can make a difference in our community and we further realize that, as a community, we can make a difference in humanity.” – Steve Hall

“For me, being in a faith community grounds me in my life and reminds me that God created us to live in community so that we can give to one another and receive the fruits of that gift.  Please join us in giving to  our church, our world, and our desire to make a difference.” – Susan Warner
